Let's take sail with this week's Disney news!


Disney Cruise Line


Chef Arnaud Lallement was recently named on the world’s ten best chefs. Chef Arnaud collaborated with Chef Scott Hunnel of Victoria & Albert’s fame, on the menu for Remy, the exclusive restaurant found on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream cruise ships. Remy uses the finest available ingredients to meld classic and contemporary styles with a unique dining concept. At Remy, guests start off with a signature Tattinger Champagne cocktail served along eight or nine small dishes. Guests can also enjoy wines from a French list and Remy’s Vault – which offers rare wines from throughout the world.


Disney Cruise Line has announced that 12 additional staterooms will be converted to Category V Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms and Veranda accommodations on the Disney Magic. The updates will be complete by the October 2, 2020 sailing. Bookings for these rooms are now available.


Disneyland


Guests of the Disneyland resort can celebrate Valentine’s Day with an exclusive Disneyland: After Dark Sweethearts Nite. The separately ticketed event will offer one-of-a-kind photo op with Disney couples, exclusive entertainment, food and merchandise. Tickets for this romantic night of fun are extremely limited and only available for the February 12th event (February 13th is sold out.


Walt Disney World

Muppet fans will be excited to hear that “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History” will have a limited return engagement at the Magic Kingdom during President’s Day Weekend, February 15 – 17, 2020. Only “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” will run during these showings.



Disney’s Animal Kingdom is welcoming two new additions to the family. A baby Hartmann’s Zebra foal was born on January 21st. It is the first Zebra born at Animal Kingdom theme park. Guests may be able to catch a glimpse while riding the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction.


On January 15th, a male Angolan black-and-white colobus monkey named Douglas was born. The snow-white baby can be spotted on the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.


Disney Parks


Beginning February 7th, guests visiting the Tomorrowland Theater at the Disneyland Park, the Walt Disney Presents attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios or select Disney Cruise Line ships will get a special sneak peek of the upcoming Disney and Pixar film “Onward”. “Onward” features the voices of Octavia Spence, Tom Holland and Chris Pratt.


Iconic composer John Williams was awarded his 25th Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite. The music can be heard throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Walt Disney World and Disneyland.


Guests who are planning to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios on or after February 19th will be able to experience Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run as a FastPass+ option. Guests will choose between Millenium Falcon or Slinky Dog Dash as part of their Tier 1 choices. All other rides and attractions with the FastPass+ Option will be available in Tier 2, and up to two options can be booked along with a Tier 1 selection.


Disney Springs



Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs is now accepting online orders. Guests can download the Blaze Pizza app or visit the Blaze Pizza website and select the Lake Buena Vista location to pick up their order.
