On the last trip I had with my family, we had the best day ever at Hollywood Studios. We're big Star Wars fans so there was so much for us to enjoy, even before Galaxy's Edge opened.
We had an encounter with Boba Fett inside the Launch Bay. He was wandering around and a circle formed around him. There is no line to meet him he chooses who he wants to speak with and he chose my in-laws and my boys! It was a fun interaction for even the adults. We even ran into a Jawa once.
Then outside the Bay the Stormtroopers used to patrol the area. They lined up the children and taught them how to stand like a Trooper and then interacted with guests. My husband tried to use the Obi-Wan Jedi mind trick 'these are not the children you are looking for', but it didn't work. I had my Princes Leia shirt on so they sensed I was with the Resistance. Now the Troopers patrol all over Galaxy's Edge and sometimes with Kylo Ren.
But the best memory we had from that day was when our boys were chosen to guard the Launch Bay from evil forces after A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show (which is no more unfortunately :-( ). Before and after every show the characters would parade from behind Voyage of the Little Mermaid to the stage. As they pass the Launch Bay after the show the boys were given Lightsabers and had to use the Force to stop Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Captain Phasma and others from entering. Then they were greeted with a special thanks from Chewbacca and Rey! Plus we rode Star Tours a few times, built lightsabers and Aiden participated in the Jedi Training Academy. It was an unbelievable day that none of us will ever forget!
