Greetings! Thank you for considering Coasters & Castles Travel for assisting with your vacation needs! My name is Jennifer, and I am a new travel advisor, but I have a lot of experience in planning and booking vacations.

 

            For most of my life, financial difficulties and work prevented me from taking vacations often or even regularly. Time passed quickly and after having children, we realized that we had to save money, plan, and book a vacation, or it would never happen. So, we decided to make one vacation a year a goal, because we realized how valuable it is to take a break and spend quality time together. Life is fast paced and living in a busy urban area can make you so occupied and distracted that you lose touch with each other.

 

            Now, praise God, after a lot of hard work and His favor in our lives, we have been able to take more than one vacation each year, and we have traveled from the West Coast to Europe in the last five years! I have planned travel for different budgets and occasions, from “as cheap as possible” to “let’s treat ourselves”. I have also used a travel agent twice, but I was not satisfied with the level of communication, and I really like doing it myself a lot.

 

            We always go on vacation as a family. Our children are school aged and I don't want to leave them behind when we travel far or abroad. We do most things together and we want them to have great experiences, too. Many of our trips include Nana and sometimes other family members, so I am accustomed to planning for a variety of group sizes.

 

            This is why I joined Coasters & Castles Travel. I so enjoy researching places and activities and planning our vacations. We are DVC members and have visited Disney a lot in the last five years (Including Disneyland, Disney World, and Disneyland Paris) and many people have asked us for help. I can also say that we have taken several one-to-two-week trips with only a carry-on suitcase and a backpack for each person in our family. (Whenever we fly.) It is possible! I love to help when I can and I would be happy to get to know you and your family and help you research and plan and book a vacation for some rest and quality time.

 

 

Here is a little more information about me that might help illustrate my interests and strengths and provide a point of connection for us.

 

* I am a certified teacher, but am currently homeschooling. We love educational activities I’ve been successful at finding something educational to do in most situations. My educational training and experience have also given me a better awareness and thoughtfulness for special needs.

 

*   Disney is one of our happy places. We can leave work behind and enjoy ourselves there. I will always love cartoons and happy endings, and we agree with Walt Disney's vision for a place where the whole family can have fun together. I get motion sick pretty easily and I can still ride most things. Most of the rides at Disney are also “Pooh friendly” for those of us who are a bit large. Disney has also become one of my favorite places to eat since I discovered that I have some food allergies. I found out that I am allergic to wheat protein and soy, which changed what and where I can eat and was very hard and sad for a long time. (It still makes me sad often.) Since Disney strives to be a happy place for everyone, they have made great efforts to accommodate guests with food allergies and we found that many of their table service restaurants either have a separate allergy menu or they will even bring a chef out from the kitchen to speak with you about what they can make for you if nothing on the menu works. At first it felt like I was causing trouble for everyone, but I have come to appreciate their efforts so much (Because you will rarely find that level of accommodation anywhere else.) and it makes the biggest difference and positive impact on my special vacation time with my family.     Plus, Dole Whip.

 

* Castles and history are passions of mine, and I have a special fondness for the United Kingdom. It, too, is one of my happy places. I am so thankful to have been able to visit at least once, but I pray I am able to visit again soon and hope to make it another area of expertise here at Coasters & Castles Travel.

 

* I love books and beautiful libraries and reading spots, and I have many ideas for some great trip itineraries that I hope to develop as I begin working as an advisor.
