The moment Pixar and Disney fans have been waiting for has arrived! Toy Story Land opened on Saturday, June 30 at Disney's Hollywood Studios! This family friendly, immersive land brings Pixar's imaginative creation to life. Guests feel like they shrink to the size of toys and enter Andy's back yard where he has created a little theme park out of his toys.
Two new rides have been created. A new family friendly roller coaster called 'Slinky Dog Dash' and another fun ride called Alien Swirling Saucers. In addition, the super popular Toy Story Midway Mania attraction's entrance has been moved into the new land.
Fans of the Green Army Men will enjoy seeing them march and play drums. You can also meet your favorite Toy Story characters, like Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
Robin Wright, Vacation Specialist went to see Toy Story Land on July 2. Posted Extra Magic Hours started at 7:00 a.m. She was let in the park at 6:50 and got in line for the land at 6:57. By 7:21, they were under the Slinky Dog Dash sign, boarded the ride at 7:54 and were off the ride at 8:00 a.m. So, getting up early really paid off as wait times built throughout the day. Robin said the new coaster was a lot of fun and she really loved all the details of the new land!
