As parents, we plan and plan to make our vacations great for the kids in our lives. In this series, we hear from those kids what they love (and what they don't).
First, we hear from Vacation Specialist Robin Wright.
Do teenagers really like going to Walt Disney World?
The answer is ABSOLUTELY!! This was Cora's 3rd trip in two years and she says they keep getting better each time. Being from Texas, Walt Disney World was never really on her radar. She went on a Disney Cruise when she was 5 but never really thought about going to "The World" until I became a travel agent and started talking more about it. Now she's hooked just like the rest of us Disney lovers. I wanted to ask some questions and see what some of the highlights were from her trip were.
Favorite Thrill Rides -
Rockin" Rollercoaster,
Slinky Dog Dash
Flight of Passage (I love all of the rollercoasters)
Favorite Ride -
Splash Mountain (The big drop is the best!!)
Soarin'
Toy Story Mania (Because I beat Robin everytime!)
Favorite Show -
Frozen Sing-A-Long (It is so funny and you can't help but sing-a-long)
Beauty and the Beast
Mickey's Philharmagic
Favorite Park -
Hollywood Studios (Because it has Rockin" Rollercoaster, Tower or Terror, and Toy Story Land
Favorite Snack -
Churros
Dole Whip
Mickey Ice Cream Bar
Favorite Quick Service Meal -
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe (The chicken strips are so good and they have a garlic ranch dip thats awesome!)
Favorite Table Service Meal -
Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge (There is so much food to choose from ribs, pulled pork, chicken, brisket, sausage, corn on the cob, baked beans, and cornbread. That is all Texas kind of food. The cherry coke was also good.)
Favorite Resort -
Art of Animation (The Cars suites were so cute. The area it was in was like you were driving thru the movie. All the characters were parked around and the cozy cones at the pool were so cool. It was also cool because I got the murphy bed with Mater on it and you could dim the lights on it. We all got our own bed so there was a lof od room in the suite.)
Favorite Character Meet and Greet -
Mickey at Magic Kingdom
The Ducktales Characters at Animal Kingdom
Buzz Lightyear
Favorite Souvenir -
Alex and Ani Bracelets
Favorite Memory -
Watching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom the last night with Rara. Happily Ever After is my favorite but it always makes me sad because it's the last night and I don't know when I will get to go back.
There are so many things for all ages to do at Walt Disney World so when someone asks me, "Why do you keep going back?" I just tell them that there is always something new to see for everyone.
So the next time someones says it's only for "little kids" you can see that teenagers love it too. It was a week that Cora put her cell phone down and enjoyed a family vacation.
Also on this trip she made some amazing friends, as we met some fellow travel agents and their kids. Disney is about family, friends, and fun!
Cora is my niece and my Disney buddy. I'm looking forward to many Disney adventures with her in the future.
