1. The lobby
What a gorgeous lobby! Similar in style to Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World, this lobby goes further. The Mission style furnishings lend a warmth to the soaring space that welcomes guests. The large fireplace offers a cozy spot to relax.
2. The comfortable rooms
We were two adults and two teens and found our room to be spacious enough to be comfortable. The rain shower head was a nice touch!
3. Dining
With Napa Rose, a lovely signature restaurant, plus the character breakfast and a nice quick service, there are plenty of choices right at this resort.
4. Pools
There are three pools in the courtyard of the Grand Californian plus a hot tub. Not only was this a beautiful space to relax in, the pools were varied to provide fun for everyone. Kids enjoy the slide, while adults have a quiet pool and little ones could splash in the shallow pool.
5. Location!
I think this is the number one reason to stay at the Grand Californian. Yes, other resorts are 'walking distance.' With the entrance directly into California Adventure, there is NO OTHER RESORT that is that close. You literally walk into the park from the resort! Go out another way, and you are smack in the middle of Downtown Disney.
