Pop Century is one of Walt Disney World's Value resorts. There are several things to love about it, but here are my top 5!
1. The theme/decor
Different areas of the resort are dedicated to popular icons from different decades. Giant replicas of popular toys stand tall around the various buildings. Items like Rubix Cubes, Play Doh, and Mr. Potato Head can be found hanging out at this resort.
2. Renovated rooms
Pop Century's room underwent a total overhaul in 2017/2018. The old rooms had carpet and 2 double beds. The new rooms have laminate floors (much easier to keep germ-free!), a queen bed, and a queen murphy-style bed that pulls down from the wall. Don't be fooled- this isn't your old pull out couch, these beds are comfortable!
3. Proximity to Art of Animation
Just a short walk across a small bridge, you'll find Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This is Disney's newest Value level resort and has the most "Disney" decor of any resort. It is fun to walk around and see the character replicas and visit their food court, Landscape of Flavors.
4. Disney Skyliner
Another thing you will find on that short walk between Pop Century and Art of Animation is the new Disney Skyliner! This gondola system transports guests through the air to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios!
5. Price Point
As a value resort, these rooms are very affordable. Are you one of those people that thinks its better to just get a cheap hotel room off-property? Pop Century might change your mind! Get all the perks of staying on Disney property for a great price.
