There is so much to look forward to at the Disney Parks in 2020, and we are excited to talk about some of those things right here and now.
Walt Disney World
As part of the extensive expansion of EPCOT, January 17th ushers in three new attactions:
“Awesome Planet” in the Land Pavilion, a 10 minute adventure with beautiful imagery, in-theater effects and an original score by Academy Award Winner Steven Price.
“Canada Far and Wide in Circle Vision 360” will feature new music by Andrew Lockington and narration by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy will open in the Canada Pavilion.
The “Beauty and the Beast Sing Along” will open in the France Pavilion, featuring a mixture of both the animated and live versions of this Disney classic.
Multiple new dining experiences will also open in 2020 at EPCOT:
Regal Eagle Smokehouse will offer various Southern barbecue options in a fast casual setting at the American Adventure Pavilion. The new location will be hosted by that most patriotic Muppet, Sam Eagle!
Guests looking for an out of this world dining experience can enjoy a sit down experience at Space 220 near Mission: Space in EPCOT. This one of a kind dining experience will allow guests to see the world as it appears 220 miles above the earth from a space station.
La Creperie de Paris in the France Pavilion will open in the summer of 2020, offering both a quick-service and a sit-down option for guests. The menu is inspired by the Brittany region of France.
One of the most anticipated openings of 2020 will be Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Guests will board a Remy themed car while embarking on an adventure through Gusteau’s kitchen.
Capping off the updates at EPCOT will be the premier of a brand new nighttime spectacular entitled “HarmoniUs.” In what promises to be the largest nighttime show ever created for the Disney parks, this magical show will feature some of Disney’s most beloved music, moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, and more.
Over at Hollywood Studios, the first attraction to ever feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad will open on March 4th.
Also at Hollywood Studios, Mickey Shorts Theater will open in March with an original short film and unique photo opportunities.
If you’re hungry for some down home grub, you can head over to Roundup Rodeo BBQ, a brand new sit down offering in the Toy Story Land area at Hollywood Studios.
Disney Springs will continue to offer guests additional new and unique dining opportunities.
Ample Hills Creamery will open a second Walt Disney World location, offering guests one of a kind ice cream and sweet treats.
City Works Eatery & Pour House will open in Disney Springs West Side district this winter. Guests can enjoy one of over 80 craft bears while watching their favorite live sporting events on the 165 -inc big screen.
Disneyland
Over on the West Coast, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance opens on January 17th.
For guests looking to celebrate the lunar year, and The Year of the Mouse, Dinseyland will offer a number of unique cultural experiences from January 17 – February 9 including “Mulan’s New Year Procession”
On February 28th the all new “Magic Happens” an all new daytime parade will debut.
Super hero fans will be able to enroll in the all new Avengers Campus beginning in the summer of 2020. The campus will feature the first Disney right through Spider-Man attraction and much more.
Snow White’s Scary Adventures has been re-imagined and will open to guests this year. The family friendly elements will remain, but additional enhancements will add to the experience.
Guest’s will also celebrate Disneyland’s 65th anniversary this year, with special food and merchandise offerings to commemorate the occasion.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line will set sail from the Big Easy, New Orleans beginning this year.
Adventures by Disney
A number of new itineraries will be offered by Adventures by Disney in 2020 including Egypt, Montana and shorter Escape adventures to Amsterdam, Budapest, and Paris. Guests looking for a River Cruise adventure will be able to ride along the Rhine and Rhone rivers.
In addition to its unique offerings and escapes, guests will now be able to combine a Disney Cruise Line Vacation with Adventures by Disney, offering the ultimate in luxury and one of a kind experiences.
