We just returned from an incredible Thanksgiving getaway to Hotel Xcaret Mexico, and it’s officially one of our all-time favorite vacations.
Finding a destination for a 12 and 15-year-old can be a challenge, but Xcaret’s "All-Fun Inclusive" concept made it effortless. We spent 6 days exploring, and honestly, we could have stayed even longer!

The Experience The resort is a tropical masterpiece woven into the natural landscape, featuring turquoise rivers, white-sand coves, and infinity pools. The service was top-tier, and the food was a highlight—rare for an all-inclusive!
The Parks: Our Top 3
Xenses: This "sensory" park is a must for the "gram." It’s a half-day of mind-bending illusions and optical tricks. The photos we took here are some of our favorites from the whole trip.
Xenotes: This was a breathtaking guided tour of four different cenotes. We went from zip-lining into the water to cliff jumping and a peaceful float through ancient caves. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline and tranquility.
Xplor Fuego: The absolute family favorite! There is nothing like zip-lining through the jungle at night or driving amphibious vehicles through torches and caves. It also features the tallest waterslide in Mexico—our son Tommy couldn't get enough of it!

Xcaret is so perfect for families because it is rare to find a resort that truly has something for everyone, but Xcaret nails it. Teens stay engaged, parents get plenty of relaxation time, and every day feels like a new adventure. And when they run promotions like Kids Go Free, the value is unbeatable—you get a full vacation plus a week of world-class parks and tours included.
If you’re looking for a family trip that mixes nature, culture, adventure, and convenience, Xcaret Mexico is one of the best choices you can make!
