Disney How To: Mobile Ordering

Mobile Ordering is now available at several quick service restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. On a recent trip, I tried it out and it worked wonderfully. I was able to skip the long lines and get my order when I was ready.

Here’s how it works.

Go to the My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone and search for the restaurant you want to order from. (I ordered from both Woody’s Lunchbox and Columbia Harbour House on my trip)

Select “Order Food” and sign in to your account.

From here you’ll be able to choose options from the menu. You’ll also see a time of arrival. You will have up until this time to pick up your order (Your order is not made at this point, this is just a guideline so you know how long your order will be stored to be entered later)

Choose from the categories presented. In my case, I went with the Breakfast Bowl (YUM!)

Do you want or need to customize your order? (No onions? No Gravy?) You can do it all in the app - no need to go to the counter to do so.

From the cart, you can modify your order and when you’re happy with everything, hit “Review Order Summary”. If you're happy select Purchase.

If you have a payment option linked to your My Disney Experience account, your payment will default to that. You can change your payment method or add a new one on the next screen or change the payment method if you want to use a different method.

When you’re ready to pick up, select “I’m here, Prepare My Order” and your meal will be prepared.

When your order is ready, you’ll get a notification that it can be picked up and you’ll go to the Mobile Order line to get your meal. In my experience, it took less than two minutes for my order to be completed.
