WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT There are always a lot of things going on at Walt Disney World. Let’s take a look at a few new offerings: Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort Ahoy, mateys! Reservations are now open for a new group experience that invites young recruits ages 4-12 into the world of pirate feasting and treasure seeking, high-energy sailin’ and swashbucklin’ fun. The new Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort teaches youngsters pirate ways, and lets them follow clues that will lead to hidden treasure and being named to Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew. . 

Mermaid School Guests can become part of Ariel’s world at the Mermaid School at select Walt Disney World resort hotels. Guests ages 4 and older can enjoy an hour-long class where they’ll be fitted with a swimmable “tail” and led through activities teaching them how to swim in a pool like a mermaid. 

Magic Kingdom Cast Members and the project teams responsible for bringing the new TRON attraction to life at Magic Kingdom® Park celebrated a major milestone this week — signing their names on one of the first steel support columns for the new attraction.

Cabanas at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Reservations are open for rentals of the new poolside cabanas at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, where guests can indulge in the lap of luxury.  New Art Programs All-new master classes led by professional artists at select Walt Disney World resort hotels will have guests creating their own masterpieces. Classes range from $35 (plus tax) to $50 (plus tax) per person, offered to ages 12 and older for most experiences.  Fishing Excursions Whether a seasoned sportsman or amateur angler, guided excursions or dockside fishing in the waterways of Walt Disney World Resort are great fun for Guests of all ages. Aboard a 21-foot SunTracker pontoon (up to five guests) or a tournament-style NITRO bass-fishing boat (for one or two participants), teeming Disney waters are an angler’s dream.  Special Offer on Camp Sites Guests can camp amid the magic of the great outdoors at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground with this great offer. They can save 20% on campsites most Sunday through Thursday nights April 28 through May 23, 2019. Book through May 23, 2019.

Dining News Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has launched a new menu, offering skillets galore! The fun-filled restaurant is known for its sassy cast members, Old Western games, and fine frontier fare, which now includes a whole new array of all-you-care-to-enjoy signature skillets for lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast skillets (starting March 26).

There has been much anticipation around the opening of Jaleo by Chef José Andrés, which celebrates traditional Spanish cuisine in a festive atmosphere. Today, we're happy to announce the wait is over – Jaleo at Disney Springs West Side is slated to open for dinner on March 17, 2019. DISNEYLAND Guests can dream big and meet their favorite Disney Princesses at an all-new character dining experience coming to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! Disney California Adventure Park The one and only Captain Marvel makes a triumphant arrival in Disney California Adventure® Park! As her jet fighter is being readied for a special mission at Hangar 12 in the northeast corner of Hollywood Land, Captain Marvel lines up a gathering of recruits for a Heroic Encounter and inspires them to go Higher, Further, Faster.  Victoria & Albert's wins Award Only a select few restaurants are approved and highly rated with either the prestigious AAA Diamond or Forbes Travel Guide Stars awards each year. Two Disney restaurants have received these impressive accolades for 2019 – Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian  Resort & Spa and Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. During the Adventures by Disney® Backstage Magic Tour, Disney fans can get an up-close look at the artistry, technology and wizardry behind Disney’s world-famous theme park entertainment. And, beginning in June, Adventures by Disney will offer a brand-new experience as part of this tour: behind-the-scenes access at Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular, “Rivers of Light“!
