Magic Kingdom
Additional details have been released about the all new Disney Villains After Hours event coming to the Magic Kingdom on select nights from June 6th through August 8th. The Villains Unite the Night show will feature Hades as your “Caretaker” for the evening. Meg will join Hades as we await the alignment of five planets so he can rule the universe. But things won’t go as planned and notorious Disney Villains including Jafar, Dr. Facillier, and Maleficent will arrive and showcase their magical skills. The show will run over20 minutes long and will have three showings per night.
The Maleficent dragon from the daily Festival of Fantasy parade will be featured in the festivities in the Central Plaza, breathing fire and creeping through the park.
Tickets go on sale on April 29th and will cost $139 in advance plus tax if purchased in advanced and $144 the night of the event plus tax, subject to availability.
Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary on May 1st. The celebration will include a star-studded parade at 10 AM down Hollywood Boulevard starring Mickey and friends. All guests visiting this day will receive a commemorative button and map. Commemorative merchandise and food and beverage items will be available for purchase. At 9:05 the park’s new nighttime projection show Wonderful World of Animation will debut that evening at 9:05 PM. Guests wishing to extend the celebration can buy tickets for a special After Hours event that evening. The After Hours event will include special character meet and greets at the Chinese Theater Courtyard and Star Wars launch Bay; an encore performance of Wonderful World of Animation, and little to no wait rides on the Studios’ most popular attractions.
Galaxy’s Edge
Disney held a Star Wars Celebration in Chicago on from April 12th through 14th. Disney revealed some of the merchandise that will be coming to the new land at Disneyland and Hollywood Studios this summer. In addition, Coca-Cola revealed new Star Wars themed bottles that will fit perfectly into the galactic landscape of Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney Springs
The Disney Ticket Center has opened in Disney Springs. The location which can be found between the Welcome Center and Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza. Guests can pick up will call tickets, upgrade existing tickets, purchase special event tickets, purchase or renew annual passes, purchase Military Salute tickets, and make Disney Springs restaurant reservations.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line revealed a new captain to it’s fleet – Captain Minnie! Minnie will make her debut on board this month as part of a new nautical youth program featuring scholarships to empower girls and young women to pursue careers in the nautical and maritime industry.
In addition to meeting Captain Minnie on board, young guests cruising later this year will be able to participate in an all new Minnie themed STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities inside Disney’s Oceaneer Lab aboard all Disney ships. Captain Minnie merchandise will be available on board, including a new Pandora bead, a Minnie Plush, and other themed clothing. Younger guests can get a Captain Minnie makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
California Adventure
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will replace Mickey’s Halloween Party this fall. The separate ticket special event will treat guests to multiple viewings of World of Color – Villainous, a Mickey themed stage show, a Descendants dance party, and a villains walk through experience. Guests can fill their bags in immersive treat trails and meet and great favorite characters in their Halloween costumes.
Tickets for the even will go on sale on April 23rd to Disneyland Annual Passholders, DVC Members, and Disney Visa cardholders. General public sales begin on April 30th. Guests can arrive up to three hours ahead of the festivities which begin at 6 PM. The cost for the even ranges from $110-$145 with discounted tickets available to annual Passholders on select evenings.
