Exploring the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos

Beach life is pretty blissful in the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos.

It's easy to spend much of your vacation in the water when it is so blue and warm. Most luxury resorts have huge swimming pools or fancy infinity pools. The ocean is turquoise blue with long stretches of sandy white beach for as far as the eye can see.

Find a beachfront bar for lunch and order fresh seafood and cool icy cocktails. Then maybe get active and try out some water sport activities. You have diving, snorkeling, kiteboarding, swimming, and kayaking to keep you fit and busy.

Not to mention swimming with the dolphins or exploring an old shipwreck. There's a lot of fun in the sun going on!

So what is worth getting out of the water for when you are on vacation in the Dominican Republic or Turks and Caicos?

In the Dominican Republic, why not go hiking in the Los Haitises National Park or explore some museums like the Alcázar de Colón or the Museum Of The Dominican Man. There are waterfalls, religious and historic sites and shopping to enjoy. You can ride cable cars, go zip lining or play paintball.

In the Turks and Caicos, you can visit the Grand Turk Lighthouse, try your luck at Casablanca Casino or go shopping and dine in style at Turtle Cove.

Both destinations can be action-packed if that is what you desire. Or if you prefer to chill out and relax, you are in paradise with all the luxury imaginable.

Since vacations are all about relaxing and indulging, don't forget to book some spa time. A body scrub and massage are good for the mind, body and soul.
