How to Park Hop at Walt Disney World NOW!

Everybody my friend Melissa Lenox is offering up some great park hopping advice for our guests. I hope you enjoy her article.

As of January 1st, 2021 Park Hopping is back at Walt Disney World, but the process has changed a little since the last time you could go between the 4 theme parks. Here is a summary of what you need to know in order to visit more than one theme park in a day.

Make sure you purchased or added the Park Hopper option onto your tickets for every guest looking to hop.

  • Park Hopper hours begin at 2pm each day and go until park close but it’s a good idea to check the Park Hours Calendar to be sure. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/calendars/five-day/. You can also view the calendar on the My Disney Experience app

  • Before heading to your next park you should check to make sure it’s not at capacity. To do this you can call 407-560-5000 and listen to the message that will confirm what parks are at capacity and what the park hopper hours are for the current date.

  • You must have a Park Pass reservation for the first park you visit that day and you must enter that park or you will not be allowed to hop to other parks.

  • You do not need a Park Pass for your second park and you are free to visit as many as you would like.

  • Advanced dining reservations or experiences do not guarantee you access to the park if it is at capacity. This is something to keep in mind when making dining reservations for a park you do not have a park pass for. Another option is to join the Walk Up List at select restaurants in the My Disney Experience app after you have hopped to the next park.

  • If you would like to ride Rise of the Resistance then you must have a park pass for Hollywood Studios and visit that park first. You will not be able to join a boarding group if you visit Hollywood Studios after 2pm.

  • Park to park transportation such as buses will begin to operate between parks prior to the start of park hopping hours. The Skyliner, Friendship boats and the Magic Kingdom Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center operate all day. The Epcot Monorail line from the Transportation and Ticket Center is not currently operating.

  • When boarding a park to park bus you should be asked to scan your Magic Band, Magic Mobile Pass or Key to the Kingdom Card to confirm you purchased a park hopper ticket.

Whose ready to hop into some fun?!
