You hear it all the time. “Suggestions needed for a weekend getaway!” or “Where should we go for a quick weekend getaway?” I usually hear things about wineries and quick trips to Vegas, and that would have been my go to answer in the past. However, I have new weekend getaway obsession!
The weekend cruise is the newest thing to hit the bachelor party, family getaway, quick anniversary celebration, or girls’ weekend scene.
Sailing out of ports like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Galveston, San Diego, and even Vancouver, they are easy access for a short, or long weekend adventure with your besties. One of my personal favorites is Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas which departs from Miami and has ports of call at Nassau, Bahamas and the amazing Perfect Day at CocoCay. The Navigator, along with many other ships in Royal Caribbean’s fleet, has something for everyone! From Adventure Ocean for the kiddos, the promenade area, signature dining experiences, splash pads for the littles, the adults-only Solarium, an escape room, and so much more, surely everyone in your party can find something that will excite them!
Royal Caribbean is not the only cruise line to offer these amazing quick weekend getaways. Disney Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, and Norwegian Cruise Line are just a few of the others that have amazing weekend cruises with some of the best amenities and voyages around.
So, the next time you hear “I am looking for a great weekend away… where should I go”, the weekend cruise should be the first option on your list! What are you waiting for? Adventure awaits!
