Top 10 MUST HAVES for your Honeymoon!

Updated: Dec 27, 2023

Honeymooners are in for an exciting adventure as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. However, packing for a honeymoon can be overwhelming, especially if you're not sure what to bring. To help make your honeymoon packing experience easier, Michelle from Coasters & Castles Travel is back and has compiled a list of the top 10 travel supplies!

1. Passport Holder and Travel Documents Organizer

One of the essential items that honeymooners should pack is a passport holder and travel documents organizer. This handy item helps keep all travel documents in one place, including passports, tickets, visas, and other important documents. It's convenient and ensures that all travel documents are safe and easily accessible. These also make cute bridal shower or wedding gifts! My favorite comes with a small glass bottle for the couple to collect sand from their honeymoon destination.

2. Camera

Your honeymoon is a special time that you'll want to remember for years to come. A camera is an essential item for capturing these special moments. Whether you prefer something to catch all the action or an attachment to make your smartphone a high-quality camera, be sure to bring it along to capture all your memories.

3. Travel-Sized Toiletries

Travel-sized toiletries are an essential item for honeymooners. Packing travel-sized toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash helps save space in your luggage. It's also convenient as you won't have to worry about buying these items at your destination. I recently found the best refillable travel sized bottle for perfume, that prevents waste.

4. Portable Charger

A portable charger is a must-have item for honeymooners who want to stay connected and keep their devices charged while on the go. With a portable charger, you won't have to worry about your phone or other devices running out of battery. Anker is my personal favorite brand.

5. Comfortable Walking Shoes

Comfortable walking shoes are essential for honeymooners who plan on exploring and sightseeing. You'll be walking a lot, so it's essential to have comfortable shoes that won't cause blisters or discomfort. Invest in a pair of walking shoes that provide excellent support and are comfortable for long walks.

6. Lightweight Luggage

Lightweight luggage is a convenient item for honeymooners as it makes traveling easier and more convenient. Look for luggage that is lightweight, durable, and easy to maneuver,American Tourist is my go to brand for all my luggage. Lightweight luggage also helps you avoid over-packing, making it easier to stay organized during your trip.

7. Swimsuits

If you're planning to visit beaches, swimming pools or hot springs, be sure to pack swimsuits. It's essential to pack at least two swimsuits so that you can rotate them and let one dry while you wear the other.

8. Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an essential item for honeymooners who are traveling to a sunny destination. Protecting your skin from harmful UV rays is crucial, especially if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors. Be sure to pack sunscreen with at least SPF 30. As a woman of color I use Black Girl Sunscreen as its tailored for melanated skin, however anyone can use it.

9. Travel Pillow

A travel pillow can be a lifesaver for honeymooners who plan to take long flights or car rides. A travel pillow helps provide support for your neck and makes it easier to sleep on the plane or in the car. There are different types of travel pillows available, so be sure to choose one that suits your needs.
