The Disneyland Resort has released further information regarding their pending opening on April 30th. When the theme parks reopen, they will have enhanced health and safety measures, and will limit capacity through a new theme park reservation system that requires all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Theme park reservations will be available online, in advance only, for a specific date, subject to availability.
Theme Park Reservations: To enter Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure park, both a theme park reservation and valid admission ticket for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up. Guests must have a valid theme park admission ticket in order to make a reservation. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability and, until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current state guidelines. The theme park reservation system will launch on April 12, and guests with existing valid theme park tickets can begin making park reservations for the days that their ticket is valid. Theme park ticket sales will resume on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations. As a reminder, ticket expiration dates were extended for many outstanding tickets. To accommodate as many types of ticket holders as possible, park reservations for select dates may be made available on a rolling basis. Ticket calendars will be updated on a rolling basis. Check for updated availability. Here are some key dates to remember:
April 9: Guests who currently hold a theme park ticket can check available days for 1-day ticket type beginning April 9 on Disneyland.com/ParksUpdates.
April 12: The theme park reservation system will open no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 12 and guests who already have valid theme park tickets may begin making park reservations.
April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations.
Guests should be sure to log in to their Disney account first to link valid theme park tickets prior to accessing the park reservation system.
Guests with valid theme park admission tickets who are planning a stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will also need to book a theme park reservation, as a hotel stay does not guarantee a theme park reservation. It is recommended that guests who plan to visit the theme parks during their stay should get their theme park reservation prior to making a hotel reservation.
Guests with Park Hopper tickets may choose, pending availability, which theme park to start their day when making their theme park reservations, and then will be able to visit the other park beginning at 1 p.m. that day. Guests with multi-day tickets will be required to make a separate park reservation for each day they plan to visit the theme parks.

Beginning April 30, 2021, distribution times for virtual queue enrollment will be twice daily, one in the morning, and one later in the day. Specific times and details will be shared at a later date on Disneyland.com.
Guests with a valid ticket and theme park reservation who will start their day at Disneyland Park will be able to access the virtual queue system and check for an available boarding group in the morning on the day of their park reservation. Guests will need to have their park tickets linked to their Disney account.
To access the second virtual queue opportunity for later that day, guests must have a valid ticket and park reservation, and have entered Disneyland Park, or Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket by the second enrollment time. Guests beginning their day at Disney California Adventure Park may then enter Disneyland Park with their Park Hopper ticket after 1 p.m. for their boarding group.
Access to a Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed. In order to give as many guests as possible the opportunity to join the Resistance, each guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day.
As a reminder, only guests with a valid admission into Disneyland Park will be able to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, subject to availability. Distribution times are subject to change or cancellation.

Guests can pay for purchases at Disney-operated locations throughout the Resort using their hotel room key with a valid credit card on file.
Guests are encouraged to download the Disneyland app.
The morning of check-out, there is no need for guests to visit the Front Desk, unless they receive a message or if they have a question. Guests will be automatically checked out for their convenience.
Guests ages 2 and older must wear an appropriate face covering in public areas at the hotel, including those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Cruise News
The Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has announced that the state filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention over the "unlawful" shutdown of the cruise industry. The Governor is demanding that cruise ships be allowed to begin sailing from U.S. ports immediately.
Florida’s lawsuit claims that other industries such as airlines, hotels, restaurants, theme parks, casinos, and bars have successfully reopened with Covid-19 protocols. Therefore the restrictions by the CDC for cruise lines are now "obsolete."
The CDC originally issued their "No-Sail Order" in March 2020 and then introduced their "Conditional Sailing Order" in November 2020. It was almost six months later when the CDC gave further instruction for the path to return to sailing. The CDC has not given clarity as to when cruising will be reinstated so many cruise lines have announced they will begin sailing again from international ports.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody stated that 60% of the nation's cruises come out of Florida. Governor DeSantis advised that businesses local to ports will lose revenue as cruise passengers travel to other countries to board ships. Florida has three of the world’s largest cruise ports: PortMiami, Port Canaveral, and Port Everglades. The cruise industry employs thousands of workers and generates billions of dollars for the state’s economy each year.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line extends the suspension of all departures through June 2021, and Disney Magic European sailings through Sept. 19, 2021. The team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of guests and team members. They are carefully reviewing the recently released guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and working toward resuming operations. As they continue to refine their protocols for their eventual return to service, they are cancelling all sailings departing through June 2021. They have also made the decision to cancel Disney Magic European sailings from Barcelona, Dover and Copenhagen through September 18, 2021.
Disney Cruise Line is offering affected guests that have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing on or before September 30, 2022, or a full refund. The credit has automatically been added to their account and can be applied as a payment option when booking a new reservation online. Guests that have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.
Guests with embedded Adventures by Disney packages on the impacted sailings will automatically be refunded the cost of their Adventures by Disney Embedded package.
Captain Minnie Mouse will take the helm of the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, Disney Wish. Minnie will be proudly adorned on the bow of the Disney Wish in whimsical artwork.

The Disney Wish reached a significant construction milestone marked by the traditional keel laying ceremony. During a ship’s construction, when the first block, or section of a ship, is lowered into the building dock, a newly minted coin is placed under the keel for good fortune. The coin created for the Disney Wish features none other than… you guessed it, Captain Minnie!

With Captain Minnie at the helm of the Disney Wish, their hope is to continue inspiring girls and young women around the globe!

The industry continues its discussions with the Canadian government officials about returning to service in the summer, including the potential to operate their Alaska season. While they work at securing options for a return to guest operations, they are giving guests two choices so they can select what works better for them.
Maintain the reservation and automatically receive a $100, per stateroom, On Board Credit (OBC) should the cruise operate.
Cancel any time between now and May 31, 2021, and receive a full refund.
If guests opt to cancel, they may complete the form on line, alleviating the need to call in. Guests who wish to remain on the sailing do not need to complete a form to receive the OBC.

To ensure full preparedness for a healthy and safe return to cruising, Royal Caribbean has made the tough decision to further extend their operational pause through June 30, 2021. Exceptions to this include Singapore sailings onboard Quantum of the Seas, China sailings departing after May 27, 2021, Israel departures on their newest game-changer - Odyssey of the Seas, and also Adventure of the Seas from the Bahamas and Vision of the Seas from Bermuda.
Affected guests may choose a full refund of funds paid for their sailing or 125% Future Cruise Credit for bookings by April 30, 2022 and sailing by September 30, 2022. They may choose on or before April 22, 2021 to move their reservation to a qualifying 2022 sailing on the same itinerary sailing length, embarkation port, stateroom category and departing within 2 weeks of the original sail date. In the World News
United Kingdom
United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson made an announcement regarding travel and outlined the plan for England to return to international travel. Johnson said the data suggests a gradual reopening can begin, but “We can’t be complacent.”
The Prime Minister stated England will introduce a system for international travel beginning as early as May 17, 2021. The system will be similar to a traffic light.
Passengers coming from countries classified as green will not need to quarantine on their arrival, but they will have to pay for tests, including PCR tests, upon arrival in England.
Travelers from countries classified as yellow or red will still need to quarantine. There are currently 39 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Americas that are part of the travel ban. The U.S. is not currently on that red level list. Only British residents will be allowed in from those countries, and they will still have to quarantine in a hotel.
There will be a green watchlist to help identify countries that are at risk of moving from the green level to yellow.
The government says it is too early to say which countries will be in each list by the summer. However, in May they expect to have a preliminary list and hope to confirm when international travel will begin. Which list a country will fall under will depend on several factors: the percentage of the population which has been vaccinated, current infection rates, and the prevalence of Covid variants.
This announcement only applies to England at this time.
