Walt Disney World


Brightline, the high-speed commuter rail service, has reached an agreement with Disney to build a train station at Disney Springs. Brightline currently has stops in West Palm Beach, Miami, and Ft. Lauderdale, and there are anticipated stops in Tampa and Orlando to connect those cities to South Florida. There are plans to expand stops to Port Miami, Aventura, and Boca Raton. Brightline did suspend operation in March due to Covid-19. It is expected to complete the expansion to Orlando International Airport in 2022. A completion date for the Disney Springs station has not been announced.



Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth has begun in Epcot, and it is running through through Dec. 31. The festival features delicious food, activities for the whole family, a chance to see Disney characters in their holiday finest and more.


Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be undergoing a planned refurbishment which is scheduled to take place Jan. 3, 2021 to early April 2021.

Universal Studios Japan has announced that Super Nintendo World will grand open in on February 4, 2021 in Osaka. They have shared that there will be a Mario Kart-themed rollercoaster. Universal Studios Japan is currently open and observing safety protocols for its guests.



 

Norwegian Cruise Lines has extended their Peace of Mind policy to include existing or new reservations made by December 31, 2020 for any voyage from January 1, 2021 through and including October 31, 2021. Peace of Mind gives guests the option to cancel up to 15 days in advance of embarkation. They have also extended their 60-Day Final Payment Policy to include all sailings through June 30, 2021 for new and existing reservations. This postpones final payment and cancellation penalties from the standard 120 days to 60 days prior to sailing.

 

Hotel RIU Montego Bay will be reopening on December 4, 2020 as an adults only resort. This all-inclusive resort offers a Splash Water World Aquatic Park, new Kulinarium restaurant, new beach party area, a redesigned pool area with 5 pools, a new Wellness Center, and as always 24 hour access to amazing cuisine and drinks, and great entertainment.


 

Princess Cruises has suspended all cruise itineraries through March 31, 2021. Also all cruises 8 days or longer are cancelled through November 1, 2021. All cruises to and from Japan through June 25, 2021 are cancelled.
