Unveiling Jamaican Luxury: Insight into Royalton and Hideaway in Negril

Updated: Apr 10

Welcome to an exclusive insider's glimpse into the tropical paradise of Hideaway in Negril, Jamaica. Nestled along the pristine shores of Negril's famed Seven Mile Beach, Hideaway promises a haven of luxury, relaxation, and adventure.

Join Coasters & Castles Travel advisor Kim Statchuk as she recounts her recent journey to this idyllic retreat. Sharing firsthand impressions, insider tips, and unforgettable experiences that will undoubtedly ignite your wanderlust and inspire your next escape.

Built in 2017, Royalton Negril is a modern resort with three sections for three different types of vacationer;

1.      Royalton Negril is a family resort. When you stay here you will only have access to this portion of the resort.

2.      Hideaway is adults only. Here you will have access to both Hideaway and Royalton for additional dining and amenities.

3.      Grand Lido Negril is not only for just adults, but it's also au natural or clothing-free. An oceanfront boutique resort, here you have access to all three areas of the resort.

No matter which resort you choose you will have 2 options for your pampering levels, standard or Diamond Club. Diamond Club rooms include the most amenities.

We stayed at Hideaway with Diamond Club. Both regular and swim out rooms are beautiful. Some swim outs lead you directly into the pool and swim up bar. However, it can be loud there if you tend to turn in early.

With Diamond Club included is butler service, which is something worth paying extra for. Anything we wanted or needed was handled immediately. Housekeeping every day and turndown service every night.  You do tend to get a little spoiled while there!

Let’s talk about food!  This resort has many types of specialty restaurants from seafood to Italian and teppanyaki (hibachi).

We ate at 6 of the restaurants plus the buffet and I can honestly say we never had a bad meal. The best view is from Ocean Point which is open for breakfast and dinner.

One thing we did learn is most times a lobster tail was an additional charge not included in the price of your trip. However, Ocean View it was not extra and I was told it was delicious.

Everyday there was entertainment at the pool as well as at night on the main stage.

You never have to go far to get a drink, the resort has 8 bars plus drinks at each one of the restaurants. Our butler would also deliver them to our room.

Room service is included, however, plan on waiting approximately 45 mins. If you have a butler, they can set up daily deliveries to your room like coffee every morning or fruit or cheese platters.   The fridge gets replenished every day and if there something you would require outside the standard, all you have to do is let them know.

As always, just as you would at home, please remember even though this is an all-inclusive resort, the staff is providing you a service. You should also be sure to tip accordingly, a few dollars go a long way for these hard working people.

With all that said, I would without a doubt return to The Royalton Negril!
