It’s been an eventful week at the Disney Parks so let’s jump right in to this week’s news.
Walt Disney World
Mobile Ordering is now available at select food and beverage locations at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can pre-order their selections at Ronto Rosters, the Milk Stand and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo through the My Disney Experience app.
Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts will return from January 17th – February 24th, 2020. Guests can take an immersive journey into the visual, culinary, and performing arts as part of this special festival. The popular Disney on Broadway Concert Series will return. New offerings set to debut during the festival will include three new attractions to Epcot: the “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” in the France Pavilion, “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” in the Canada Pavilion, and “Awesome Planet” in the Land Pavilion.
A new shade structure has been added to the Slinky Dog Dash queue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The lack of shade has been a common concern for guests and Disney has responded with a themed structure that will help the Florida sun from beating down on guests as they wait for their ride.
Disneyland
Two new food and beverage locations have been announced, coming soon to the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. Asian Street Eats by Chef Hung Huynh will feature flavorful Asian dishes at its take-out window. Jamba Juice will close its current location and re-open as Jamba in early 2020 with a modern re-theming and mobile ordering abilities.
Disney Cruise Line
Due to impact caused by Hurricane Dorian, Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas remains closed while damage is assessed and repairs are eventually made. Sailings will continue to be impacted and destinations changed until the island can be re-opened.
Disney joined a number of its partners in the travel community in donating money and supplies to those affected by Dorian and will assist in the clean-up and re-building process.
Disney Parks
Starting September 13th, Arendelle Aqua (inspired by Frozen) will debut across all Disney Parks. From treats to ears, expect to find numerous food, beverage and merchandise items available across the parks.
