Well I am sitting to write again and will be sending in a few stories about my Cancun trip to numerous resorts.
I had a smooth and wonderful flight from Orlando into Cancun International Airport and great transfer by Lomas Travel to the Club Med Cancun Yucatan. It is a short drive from the airport to my resort and early in the day but to my pleasant surprise my room was ready.
I was able to immediately grab a crepe and drink because it was too late for breakfast and too early for lunch at this resort’s buffet dining area. Then it was time for a little water aerobics and water dancing which pleasantly took me to lunch at the buffet. Beautiful dining in this second floor dining area gave some great views of the surrounding ocean.
My room was nicely appointed with a private water closet, walk in shower, two closets, and safe in the front entry. The bedroom area held a queen size bed and vanity with a large television and step down into an area housing a pull out sofa and mini fridge with coffee maker. My balcony gave great views of the ocean as suggested in the room description.
Activities abounded for families with children and a great tour of the property showed two amazing supervised children’s areas. These were separated into 2 age groups while right down the path you could find archery, trapeze and water skiing activities for the older children and adults. These activities as well as the children’s areas are part of the cost of your stay.
There are three pools at the resort. Two are available to the guests and each has a pool bar and snack area. I would describe the resort in three separate areas – one is the main, original section with the above activities, children’s areas, beach, pool and main buffet that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a check in area.
Further down the entry road you will find the newer area with an additional pool, pool bar with snack bar and buffet area and many water activities which are again part of the cost for your stay. Ultimately there is a private club area with its own check in desk, concierge area, pool area and beach.
We were here for 3 nights and on to Catalonia Costa Mujeres!!!!
